HE IS ON THE WAY TO DO SOMETHING

Gabbar Singh review, Gabbar Singh movie review, Gabbar Singh Telugu movie review, Gabbar Singh rating: After disastrous ‘Panjaa’, Power Star Pawan Kalyan has teamed up with director Harish Shankar and producer Ganesh Babu for ‘Gabbar Singh’. The movie is the remake of Bollywood blockbuster ‘Dabangg’. Let’s check out whether Pawan Kalyan delivers a super hit this time or not with Gabbar Singh Movie Review.

Story:

Venkataratnam Naidu alias Gabbar Singh (Pawan Kalyan) hates his step father Naidu (Nagineedu) and loves to live with individuality. He falls in love with Bhagyalakshmi (Shruti Hassan) who runs a bangle shop and plays tactics to impress and marry her. One day, Gabbar Singh locks horns with Siddappa Naidu (Abhimanyu Singh), an aspiring politician and youth leader over some issues. What happens next? Whether Gabbar Singh succeeds in his love and puts an end to the atrocities of Siddappa Naidu forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

The first half of the film entertains with convincing narration and wonderful scenes. Right from the word go Gabbar Singh offers adequate entertainment and Pawan Kalyan has been the show stealer. The kabaddi scene, love episodes between Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Hassan, Mandubabulam song received thumping response from the audience. Harish Shankar, the director of Gabbar Singh has succeeded in narration and executed the script pretty well in the first half. Pawan Kalyan’s dances in Gabbar Singh title song and Pilla song has been fantastic. The pre interval fight sequence has been shot well and is one of the highlights of the movie.

However, the second half falters at one point and catches the momentum again with some well etched scenes on Pawan Kalyan. The anthakshari scene in the police station is hilarious and the hospital episode is heart touching. The marriage scene could have been better. The sentiment scenes in the film are not that appealing and the director fails to establish the emotional content. The much talked about Kevvu Keka song lives up to the hype with Malaika Arora Khan’s steamy hot performance. The climax fight has been powerful and Pawan Kalyan has carried it with elan.

clickoursite Perspective:

Pawan Kalyan has carried the movie on his shoulders and he has been outstanding through out the film. His mannerisms resembled Chiranjeevi in few scenes and his dances in Gabbar Singh are a special package for his fans. His performance has been intense in the action scenes, especially in the pre interval and climax episodes. He lived up to the expectations this time with a rocking performance.

Though, the movie is the remake of Bollywood movie ‘Dabangg’, the second half of the movie has major changes in the script. Director Harish Shankar has done a commendable job in handling the things well – be it the narration or screenplay and execution. His dialogues are meaningful and catchy. Overall, Gabbar Singh is the movie that will enthrall the audience for brilliant performance from Pawan Kalyan and wonderful direction from Harish Shankar.

Performances:

Its Pawan Kalyan all the way in Gabbar Singh.He gets to be funny, wicked and belligerent… sometimes all at once. His dialogue delivery, mannerisms, and mass dances will drive the fans and masses crazy. He had given every bit of his in to the movie and his hard work is visible on screen.

Shruti Hassan has very little on screen but she managed to come out good in what ever she is offered. She looked serene in the role of a village girl. Ali as Constable Samba is good in managing good laughs. Brahmi brought out an outburst as Recovery Agent Ranjith Kumar. Nagineedu and Suhasini are okay in the roles.

Abhimanyu Singh is just about ok as Siddhappa Naidu. Rao Ramesh is good in a brief role. Ajay, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Tanikella Bharani are in general are very promising actors but was under used in the movie. Happy days fame Gayatri gets a good role.

Technical Performances

Harish Shankar made the best use of Pawan Kalyan’s strengths in the movie. His direction was very good in the first half but could not manage to keep up the tempo in the second half. His dialogues combined with Pawan mark delivery need a special mention. All the songs are neatly picturized especially ‘Dil Se’, ‘Pilla’ and ‘Gabbar Singh’ songs will stand out. Malaika Arora’s Kevvu Keka will make masses frenzy.

Devi Sri Prasad’s music is an asset to the movie and his back ground score is equally impressive. Cinematography by Jaynan Vincent is just awesome. Goutham Raju could have done better in the editing department with the second half.

Final Say:

The first half of the movie moves on with an excellent pace combined with good comedy. The secons half of the movie is a bit let down with the temp going down compared to the first half. Things have gone a bit haywire in the second half leading to the climax. The climax sequence should have been handled well. However, the movie is really entertaining and is the only movie in recent times which made the best use of Pawan’s energy. Watch it folks!
