ISHQ MOVIE REVIEW:

Nitin has a record number of flops than any other Telugu hero so far. However, he has been getting offers to change his fortunes. Once again, he has come up with the movie, Ishq wherein he has romanced Nithya Menon. It is a cute love story and the director has weaved the love thread very impressively between the lead pair. Though the second half goes on expected lines and tests the patience of audiences, the pre-climax twist and the interesting climax gives a relief to the audiences.

Story:
Siva (Ajay) is a good sportsman and he is the only son of the commissioner of police (Nagineedu). He falls in love with Divya (Sindhu Tolani), but the latter did not accept his love. As a result, Siva turns a psycho. Though, his father tells him to mend his ways, he doesn’t change his psychic attitude, hence the commissioner necks him out.

Keeping this aside, Rahul (Nitin) is a student and is on way to Hyderabad from Delhi. Soon after boarding the flight, he falls flat to a cute girl and prays God that she should get a seat by his side. God hears his prayers and the girl introduces herself as Priya (Nithya Menon) before sitting by his side and a positive vibration develops between the duo. Fortunately, the flight makes an emergency landing at Goa. Rahul takes Priya to his aunt’s (Rohini) house and there further turn close. On reaching Hyderabad, Priya realises that her brother turned a psycho after failing to get the love of Rahul’s sister. Now, Rahul has the testing time to win the love of her family members. How he solves the problem? Will he be able to marry Priya? Why Divya refused Siva’s love? Answers to all these questions have to be seen on screen.

Performance:
Nitin has learnt from his mistakes and has stopped all his (extras) mannerisms and routine dances by kneeling on the floor. Especially, he is impressive and refreshing when watching ‘Kodi baye…’ song. Again, Nithya Menon will score good marks with her innocent looks and good dialogue delivery. Other artistes including Ajay as a psycho and short-tempered man, Nagineedu as police officer, Rohini as the hero’s aunt, Sindhu Tolani as a girl who fears in expressing and accepting love, has done justice to their respective roles. Ali, after a long time, tickled the funny bones of audiences well. Duvvasi Mohan and Supreet are okay in their roles.

Technical:
There is nothing to talk about the cinematography as it is handled by award-winning cinematographer like PC Sriram. He has captured the beauty of Goa and other places excellently and every frame and every shot is a marvel. Likewise, Srikar Prasad’s editing too is very impressive and tight. Dialogues by Ramesh Samala are adequate. Music by Anup Rubens is okay. All the songs in the film are quite melodious and the background score too is good. When it comes to screenplay and direction, Vikram has done a nice job. Though it is a straight subject, the director has kept some twists in the second half to create interest among the audiences. The second half runs with twists and turns and hence the audiences should have some patience to sit till the climax, but it seems he has lost grip at parts in in the second half.

Remarks:
The strength of the film is the first half, pre-climax and climax.

POOLA RANGADU REVIEW:

Story: Real estate broker Ranga (Sunil) incurs heavy loses in his business and is in deep financial crisis. He buys land at a prime area from a Dubai based businessman in Parakala, Warangal. The land will be under the control of two powerful men Dev Gill (Konda Reddy) and Lala Goud (Pradeep Rawat), who wants to grab it under any circumstances. Sunil heads to Parakala to narrate his problems and convince both of them. But, he learns that there is a family feud going on between them and he seeks the help of Lala Goud’s daughter Anitha (Isha Chawla) to sort out his problem. He plans to unite both the families so that he can get his land back. Whether he is successful in uniting both the families and gets his land or not forms the crux of the story.

Analysis :

The first hour of the film is racy and a bit lengthy but the scenes involving Sunil and Ali evokes laughter from the audience. Especially, the scene where Sunil comes to Ali’s house, when he and Ali goes to Dev Gill’s and Pradeep Rawat’s house and the pre-interval episode where Sunil utters dialogues in English and Hindi are very hilarious. The second hour too offers entertainment but the director fails to carry the same momentum at some parts of the film. But, he is successful in bringing out the emotion from the audience at the right time from pre-climax scenes . Dev Gill’s English speech, Raghu Babu drinking episodes, Ali, Satyam Rajesh, Prithvi Raj and Duvvasi Mohan’s comedy scenes in the second half were received well by the audience.

CLICKOURSITE Perspective :

Director Veerabhadram Chowdary has understood the pulse of the audience and came up with a commercial script. The story offers nothing new but the freshness in the execution with loads of entertainment makes the film a time pass outing. The action episodes are amazing and Sunil has climbed an inch as mass hero. He hasn’t tried this kind of subject before and his performance is praiseworthy. The movie boasts of highlights like Sunil’s six pack abs, dances, etc. Sunil dances with lot of passion and that is clearly visible on screen. His imitation of Chiranjeevi and Mohan Babu’ dialogues at one point are hilarious. He lost the charm in his face due to heavy work-outs and this is where he has to take care off.

Isha Chawla played a glam doll role and her performance is not up to the mark. Lot of confusion prevails over Dev Gill’s character and the director might have taken some care on it. The climax fight has been shot well and the director needs an applause for it. However, few scenes have shades of movies like Maryada Ramanna and Namo Venkatesa.

Technicalities: Anup Rubens’s songs are a big let down but the back ground score is impressive. Cinematography is OK. Dialogues by Sridhar Seepana are superb. Editing could have been better. Choreography by Prem Rakshit is fantastic and thrills by Kanal Kannan needs applause especially in the climax episode. Direction by Veerabhadram Chowdary is good .

Performances: Sunil once again enthralls the audience and carries the movie on his shoulders. He has done a fantastic job in dances, emotion, comedy and action. Isha Chawla is mediocre and routine. Telangana Shakuntala makes an impact, while Kota Srinivasa Rao, Sudha are wasted in the film. Pragati has done a fair job. Pradeep Rawat and Dev Gill are good in their roles. Ali and Raghu Babu are impressive and Rajesh is just OK. Prithviraj and Duvvasi Mohan are ordinary.

Plus Points:
Sunil’s performance and dances
Comedy
Climax Episode

Minus Points:
Routine story
Screenplay

Final Word: Poola Rangadu Review: Go watch it for Sunil’s performance and dance.

NIPPU FILM REVIEW

Nippu Review Nippu Telugu Movie Review: After a series of flops, Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is once again geared up to test his luck this time with Nippu movie. So can Nippu strike a chord with audience and keep the box-office ringing? Check out the Nippu Telugu Movie review!

Story: Surya (Ravi Teja) and Sri (Sriram) are best friends. Surya, runs a fitness center and is very much committed to his friendship. Sri works in Saudi Arabia and falls in love with Vaishnavi (Bhavana) – the daughter of Raja Goud (Pradeep Rawat), an illegal businessman. Viashnavi slips accidentally atop apartment and dies, but an innocent Sri faces execution trial. Surya visits Sri in Saudi and comes to know about what all happened. He requests the police authorities for a mercy petition and flies back to Hyderabad for a signature of Raja Goud to relieve Sri from the case. How Surya takes the signature of Raja Goud, with the help of Meghana (Deeksha Seth), Sri’s sister, an athlete, and relieves his friend forms the rest of the story.

Analysis :

Analysis: Nippu movie is only good in parts where Ravi Teja will be seen in his routine dimension. The main drawback of the film is director Guna Sekhar who never engaged the audience with his narration. There are some impressive scenes like the comedy episodes between Ravi Teja and Brahmanandam, love episodes between Ravi Teja and Deeksha Seth and the climax part, but they are not enough for this film to make it a winner at box-office. Additionally, the unrealistic thrills in the air would add more excitement to the audience. The director came up with a script that has too many mass elements and eventually lost hold on the basic plot of the story. Overall, Nippu film is not satisfactory but has chances to do well in B and C centers because of its action episodes, mass dialogues and songs.
TeluguOne Perspective :

Making a movie with a mass hero like Ravi Teja is the safest bet for our directors, but Gunasekhar failed again and tests the patience of the audience with his outdated directorial abilities and unimpressive screenplay. YVS Chowdary has done a wonderful job as the producer but failed to live up to his reputation of making films with good entertainment. Deeksha Seth is gorgeous and looking hot in the movie.

The family emotions, drama and action episodes between Pradeep Rawat and Ravi Teja has been shot well, however, in parts. The scenes between hit pair Ravi Teja and Deeksha Seth came out very well and their onscreen chemistry is fantastic. Nippu came with huge expectations as three friends Ravi Teja, Gunasekhar and YVS Chowdary teamed up for the first time with great passion.

Technicalities:

The dialogues by Akula Siva and Sreedhar Seepana are good and the cinematography of Sarvesh Murari is excellent. Art work by Anand Sai is fabulous, especially in the last song. Thaman’s songs are not impressive and the background score is pretty ordinary. Editing by Gautam Raju can be better as the film is a bit lengthy. The production values are rich but direction is not up to the mark. The fights are powerful and violent.

Plus Points:
Ravi Teja’s performance
Deeksha Seth’s glamor.

Negative Points:
Music
Over dosage of action
Uninteresting screenplay

Performances:

Ravi Teja is back to his roots and has delivered a very good performance with vigor. His dances in the first song are fantastic. Deeksha Seth has bagged a meaningful role after many films though it is quite simple and routine. Brahmandam is hilarious. Rajendra Prasad, Supreeth, Brahmaji are impressive. Sriram, Bhavana are just OK. Pradeep Rawat is adequate as baddie and Mukul Dev, Jaya Prakash Reddy has a very limited role to play.

Final Word: Nippu review: Watch at your leisure.

LOVEFAILURE REVIEW

Love Failure Telugu movie review – Love Failure movie review: Siddharth is coming up with yet another romcom in the form of ‘Love Failure’ in Telugu (Kadhalil Sodhapuvathu Eppadi in Tamil). His previous romantic scripts like 180, O My Friend, etc. did not do well at the BO. With Sid turning producer for the first time can this handsome actor score success time around? Let’s head to Love Failure review!

Cast and Crew:
Banner: Y NOT Studios and ETAKI Entertainment
Actors:Siddharth, Amala Paul
Producer: S Sashikanth and Siddharth Narayan
Director: Balaji Mohan
Music: SS Thaman
Editor: TS Suresh
Cinematography: Nirav Shah

Love Failure Story

The movie starts with Arun (Siddharth), an engineering student, explaining how he broke up with Parvathi (Amala Paul). Arun narrates how his love for Parvathi started and what are the series of incidents that lead to his break up. Later, Arun witnesses similar break ups in his friends life, and in the process, realizes how badly he was missing Parvathi all this time. So what events prompt Arun to change his mind and how he and Parvathi come together eventually forms the plot.
Analysis :

Director Balaji Mohan has come up with a different storyline and an appealing presentation. However, the narrative style was not so swift at times eventually diluting the true essence of the romantic movie. It was a well written script and the screenplay was up to the mark but the movie lacks the panache of a typical romantic anecdote as the movie opens with the lead protagonist explaining about his lost love. The film looks into mindset of contemporary life and how certain decisions can lead to costly mistakes. And Balaji Mohan has followed the thumb rule for developing the content and didn’t bend for any cinematic or illogical nonsense. A very sincere and realistic attempt that appeals predominately for urban class.

Siddharth this time comes with tale that accentuates on break ups and lost love and Balaji Mohan as justified the same with this content. Siddharth comes up with yet another authentic performance. His envious physique and strikingly handsome looks create good impact. While the first half goes smooth and has light elements of comedy and romance, the second half gets into few twists and mixes with sentiment and melodrama.

CLICKOURSITE Perspective :

Love Failure is a fun and quirky film which comes with an unlike conventional script. Siddharth once again targeted a film that caters of metro market and urban youth – particularly the dialogues which could have been much better. In fact, they are too urbane and the thump for a romantic calligraphy was missing. Amala Paul was a good pick for the female lead as her face looks fresh. They way her character was etched, has more connectivity to the audience. Her onscreen chemistry with Siddharth was also good. Although Balaji deviated from the original plot, he ensured that the roads in the subplots lead to the movie’s original message.

Performances
Siddharth once again excels in the role of lover boy. Looks like doing romcom tales has become a cake walk for him. Amala Paul looks apt for the character and is a perfect for the female lead. She looks impressive with her trustworthy performance.

Plus Points
Siddharth’s performance
Amala Paul characterization
Music

Minus Points
Too much drama
Predictable climax

Technicalities
SS Thaman’s music is only good in parts. A better background score would have surely lifted the film in the latter part. Nirav Shah‘s cinematography work is commendable as he has managed to capture and showcase beautiful moments of an idealistic college life. Editor Suresh could have done better a job in the second half as the audience feel the film is getting drawn-out.

Final Word:
Love Failure movie review: Siddharth’s ‘Love Failure’ film offers something new only in terms of style and screenplay but the concept remains pretty identical.

Rating: 3/5
